F.A.Q.: So are you gys related to Two Girls Review?

A note about the name:  2 Gyrlz Performative Arts co-founder Lisa Newman was inspired by working with Two Girls Review in Eugene, Oregon. Though original Two Girls co-founder Lidia Yuknavitch (now of Chiasmus Press) has shared her talent with 2GQ and the gyrlz, our group and publications are not affiliated with the Review.

Three2gqissuessm Musicians from bands like Low and the Decemberists joined in with writers from Elissa Schappell to Lance Olsen in 2GQ's "Exquisite Language" project.  Seventy contributors from around the world co-constructed a series of exquisite corpse stories and songs; the results were published in our special Exquisite Language issue of 2GQ and also interpreted as performance and song at an EL-fest event at the Heathman Hotel.

Fun times! Anyway, we still have a few copies of Exquisite Language. COMMENTS ON 2GQ

Well, we don't have the best track record for comments on this blog. I forgot to configure things so anybody could comment at all, then turned it on, then got swamped with spam. So for now, posting a comment requires setting up a TypeKey account and using that to log in. That's how our system here (TypePad) just happens to work things.

Problem is? Last time I tried to use TypeKey, it freakin' sucked. But anyway. We do want your comments, but not the ones about teen girls or adding inches to your member. Thanks for your patience... -Tif

About 2GQ

2GQ is an experiment in literary, performative, and collaborative madness that takes place under the auspices of 2 Gyrlz Performative Arts, a non-profit organization in Portland, Oregon. We publish a print journal, a webzine/blog, and will soon publish our first book; and we produce collaborative and interdisciplinary events with a strong literary component. 2GQ stands for 2 Gyrlz Quarterly, in case you were wondering.

Covering feats of artistic and literary derring-do from Portland and beyond, 2GQ brings artists and writers together to create experimental texts. 2GQ features interviews, articles, reviews, and original short fiction, flash fiction, and poetry. We like to adventure among people and phenomena who are brave, risky, and willing to cross boundaries.

To contact us, email the current year at our domain. Example: in 2003, send mail to 2003@2GQ.org. If you want something reviewed, snailmail it to 3439 NE Sandy Blvd #513, Portland, OR 97232, USA. Review items cannot be returned.

Please do keep reading "Continued" for details, to buy our fabulous journal.
