LETTERPRESS YARD SALE AUGUST 3

Our own Clare Carpenter and her Tiger Food Press join other artists and printers for the Letterpress Yard Sale. This will be a fantabulous opportunity to purchase artist books, collectible letterpressed broadsides, and cards. (Bindery equipment, tools, and type will be on sale for all you awesome Print Nerds out there.)

IPRC, Stumptown Printers, Crack Press, Oregon College of Art & Craft, and other upstanding Portlandians will be in attendance. Sunday, August 3 11 am- 4pm at Liberty Hall (311 North Ivy).

PLEIN AIR WRITING ON THE LOVELY COLUMBIA

Writers ~ join the Plein Air Writing Exhibition / workshop in the Columbia Gorge this summer. Registration ends August 8. After visiting a variety of sites, you have the option of submitting one of your pieces for publication on the Columbia Center for the Arts website and also in participating in a public reading on September 14. The registration fee is $15.

2GQ's "Play Me" at Portland Center Stage, july 19

"Play Me," a performance-installation by Tiffany Lee Brown and 2GQ, explores intimacy and communication through sound, words, voice, and technological mediation. Collaborators include Jen Folker, Eric Hausmann, Richard Kadrey, Barb Klansnic, Pecos B., Nora Robertson, and Stephanie Snyder. "Play Me" is part of the You Are Here series at the JAW Festival.

Msjawnext JAW Festival:
Two weeks of playwright mayhem at PCS. The 2GQ installation will slowly happen over these weeks, culminating in a live performance along with the installation on July 19.
