MIKE BROPHY & HOLLY CUNDIFF STUDIO FIRE

Brophyfire Painter Mike Brophy and poet Holly Cundiff had a major fire in their live/work studio (along with two other buildings), losing some of their work. The latest news is that two of the three cats have turned up safe, and all the paintings have been sent for cleaning and consideration. Holly is trying to see if her poetry can be retrieved from a damaged computer.

TO HELP: In response to the fire that burned Michael Brophy's studio Sunday night, we've set up a rebuilding fund through RACC. Checks should be made payable to: Regional Arts & Culture Council, Memo: for Michael Brophy studio rebuilding fund, 108 NW 9th Avenue, Suite 300 Portland, OR 97209-3318. Contributions are tax deductible.Brophy_10aBrophy_10a

A note about the name:  2 Gyrlz Performative Arts co-founder Lisa Newman was inspired by working with Two Girls Review in Eugene, Oregon. Though original Two Girls co-founder Lidia Yuknavitch (now of Chiasmus Press) has shared her talent with 2GQ and the gyrlz, our group and publications are not affiliated with the Review.
