Get Out of Your Coma with andYOUANDyou

Maybe you know Scott Smith from his project at 2GQ's last Heathman Hotel show, or from the dazzle of his smile around Performance Works NW and Disjecta. Now dig his first collaborative showcase at andYOUANDyou. He invites "artists and non-artists alike" to enter for this November's "Making a Living" show. Keep clickin' for details.

Starting the First Friday of November will be the
first collaborative showcase@andYOUAND you- A
collaborative conceptual exhibition space for
artists and 'non-artists' alike.

This is an invitation to you to submit for this
upcoming exhibit.
The theme for November is:

'MAKING A LIVING'

Dimensions will be determined by the number of
submissions.

We all somehow Œmake our living‚
whether itŒs how we make money
or spend our time
or marinate in our obsessions
We create our livelihood.

I don‚t care what it is
that you do for
„a living‰
as long as you can
find some beauty in it
or ugly
or some fascination,
or to snap out of your coma and look again.
Represent this in 2D (Preferably framed)
Photography, paintings,
poetry, objets d‚art, musings, etc.

This is not meant to be 'high' or 'low' art.
The Artistry is in the participation.
If you have something that you feel already fits
the theme,
if you can offer that for a month that would be
great.

Please reply if you expect to participate or if
you have any questions or if you would just like
to be on the mailing list.
