About 2GQ
2GQ is an experiment in literary, performative, and collaborative madness that takes place under the auspices of 2 Gyrlz Performative Arts, a non-profit organization in Portland, Oregon. We publish a print journal, a webzine/blog, and will soon publish our first book; and we produce collaborative and interdisciplinary events with a strong literary component. 2GQ stands for 2 Gyrlz Quarterly, in case you were wondering.
Covering feats of artistic and literary derring-do from Portland and beyond, 2GQ brings artists and writers together to create experimental texts. 2GQ features interviews, articles, reviews, and original short fiction, flash fiction, and poetry. We like to adventure among people and phenomena who are brave, risky, and willing to cross boundaries.
To contact us, email the current year at our domain. Example: in 2003, send mail to 2003@2GQ.org. If you want something reviewed, snailmail it to 3439 NE Sandy Blvd #513, Portland, OR 97232, USA. Review items cannot be returned.

2GQ (2 Gyrlz Quarterly): We publish a limited edition print journal which can be purchased here on the site, at Powell's, and at local bookstores in the Portland area, including Reading Frenzy and In Other Words.
2GQ.org (You're soaking in it): We publish this webzine + blog, 2GQ.org.
2GQ events: We gather forces from realms of fiction, performance, book arts, poetry, music, dance, and art to produce collaborative and interdisciplinary works, installations, and events. We've brought together over 100 participants, and put on shows and readings at the Heathman Hotel, Powell's downtown, La Palabra Café-Press, and others, often in conjunction with the Enteractive Language Festival (EL-fest). Our next event is Public Works, an opportunity for the public to view works-in-progress at the Someday Lounge (April-May 2007).
A Compendium of Miniatures: A collaboration between 2GQ book artist/production manager Clare Carpenter and editor Tiffany Lee Brown, this hardbound book will be published in 2007 in a limited edition of 100. Related readings and discussions are scheduled to occur at Powell's, Pacific University, PNCA (Pacific Northwest College of Art), Clackamas Community College, and Borders Books.
